| Abstract Submission Guidelines |

PRESENTATION
Abstracts in the different specializations in Veterinary Medicine will be accepted, all focusing on horses and other equids. The abstracts will be presented either as oral communications or as posters. The author can indicate his or her preference for oral or poster presentation, but the final decision will be taken by the Congress Scientific Committee. Authors will be informed of acceptance within three months following the deadline for submission. Instructions relative to oral presentations will be notified later.
Posters must be hung in the exhibition room by their authors in the morning of the first day of the Congress and taken down only at the end of the Congress, when certificates will be handed out.
The Scientific Committee will determine when discussion of the abstracts will occur, at which time the author of such abstracts must stay next to the poster.
RULES FOR SENDING ABSTRACTS
- The abstracts will be analyzed by the Scientific Committee of the Congress and the response regarding the acceptance or denial of the abstracts will be sent to the authors using the e-mail addresses included in the abstracts. The Scientific Committee's decision cannot be appealed.
- The abstracts that involve animal experimentation must include, at the end, the name of the ETHICAL COMMITTEE that evaluated the abstracts, or else it will not be accepted.
- The summary of the abstracts must follow the format:
- Abstracts should be written in English.
- The abstract can be submitted maximum to the limit of 600 words.
- Presented in WORD, on a single page (A4 size), using the font Times New Roman 12, 1.5 line spacing and 3.0 cm margins.
- Must include a title in capital letters, followed by the full name of the authors, address and e-mail of the presenter, whose name must be in bold. When pertinent, the name of the institution must be included in the footnotes.
- Summary: must include a brief introduction, objectives, methods, results, discussion and conclusions. The case reports must include introduction, description of the case, discussion and conclusions. This subdivision must be bolded within the text.
- Do not include tables, graphs, figures or bibliographical references.
- Thanks can be included above the footnotes.
- All abstracts to be submitted online
POSTERS RULES
- The posters must be 0.90 x 1.20 meters, and will be hung in a specific place pre-determined by the Scientific Committee.
- Segmented panels/posters will not be permitted.
- The posters must contain the same basic text of the summary, with the use of figures, graphs and tables, as well as references, so to facilitate visual communication.
- The posters not hanging up during the event, or that are not with the presenter at the specific time stipulated for discussion, are subject to cancellation of the certificate.
